Product Description:
The VT-VSPA2-1-11A/T5 proportional amplifier is a plug-in Eurocard manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT-VSPA Proportional Amplifiers series. Mounted in a 19-inch rack, the module converts low-level command voltages from a PLC into controlled solenoid current for proportional hydraulic valves, enabling precise pressure and flow adjustment in presses, molding machines, and metal-forming equipment. By providing repeatable electronic control, the card replaces manual potentiometers and improves cycle consistency inside industrial automation cells.
The board conforms to the Eurocard footprint of 100 × 160 mm, so it occupies a single DIN slot and engages the backplane through a 48-pin DIN 41612 Form F connector. Nominal operation is supplied by 24 VDC; internal regulators tolerate a drop to 18 V while protecting the circuitry as the bus approaches the upper cutoff. The power stage can deliver up to 2.5 A of coil current, yet total power consumption stays below 50 VA, which limits heat buildup in the enclosure. Inputs 1 through 4 have an impedance greater than 100 kΩ, input 5 has an impedance greater than 50 kΩ, and input 6 has an impedance of 100 Ω, helping prevent loading errors. A dedicated 10 kΩ ramp input allows the control system to apply gradual acceleration and deceleration without external shaping networks.
Primary supply protection is provided by a 2 A replaceable fuse that disconnects the board if inrush current or a short circuit exceeds safe limits. Once the supply rises above the internal ready point of 16 V, a status output informs the controller that the amplifier is operational, preventing premature valve energization. During closed-loop operation, the logic and driver circuits draw less than 2 A from the 24 V rail. A built-in reference source supplies a stabilized 25 mA current for loop-powered sensors or test terminals, simplifying external wiring. With a mass of 0.17 kg, the card imposes minimal load on backplane brackets and remains easy to handle during maintenance.
