The VT-VSPA2-1-11/ T1 is a plug-in proportional amplifier card manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT-VSPA Proportional Amplifiers series. Mounted in a 48-pin DIN 41612 Form F backplane, the module serves as an interface between low-level command sources and current-driven actuators inside industrial control loops. It scales differential or potentiometer references, supervises supply limits, and delivers a controlled output so machine controllers can modulate force or position with repeatable accuracy.
The electronics operate from a nominal supply of 24 VDC, and the analog front end accepts a differential command range of ±10 V. An input impedance of greater than 50 kΩ minimizes loading on PLC or motion-controller outputs, while the 100 Ω current input path lets the same terminals process 0–20 mA references when required. Internal signal conditioning reproduces the request at a current-monitor output with a signal of ±2.5 V ±2%, simplifying drive diagnostics. Downstream power is handled by a transistor output stage that can source up to 2.5 A, providing adequate headroom for medium-frame proportional valves or other magnetic loads without external boosters. An external 10 kΩ ramp resistor may be connected to lengthen acceleration or deceleration times, providing predictable motion profiles independent of the controller scan rate.
Primary protection is provided by a board-mounted fuse rated at 2 A, and total power draw remains below 50 VA, which limits heat generation inside the cabinet. The supply input tolerates brownouts down to 18 V and overvoltage excursions up to 35 V, allowing operation on unregulated plant buses. Current consumption remains below 2 A even at peak loading, and the output stage disengages automatically when the voltage falls outside the permitted range. This shutdown behavior protects the connected actuator from uncontrolled current during unstable supply conditions. The external ramp network can be adjusted to suit the response of a connected valve without requiring changes to the machine controller’s timing logic.
