The VT-VSPA1K-1-1X is a plug-in proportional amplifier card produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT-VSPA Proportional Amplifiers series. Installed in a valve control rack, it receives low-level command signals from a PLC or joystick and modulates the coil current of hydraulic proportional valves. This allows precise flow or pressure control in presses, die-casting machines, and other automated stations that rely on continuous motion profiling.
This board follows the Eurocard format with overall dimensions of 100 × 160 mm, so it slides directly into a standard DIN 41494 sub-rack. Field wiring lands on a 16-pole terminal strip, which groups supply, command, and feedback lines in one connection area. The power section is energized from a nominal 24 VDC (+40%/-5%) source, a range that tolerates common battery or switched-mode supplies on factory floors. Internal pulse-width modulation runs up to 370 Hz, giving the valve armature fine resolution without audible chatter. The output stage can source up to 1.6 A, matching medium-sized proportional solenoids, while total consumption of the control electronics and power drivers is limited to 50 VA. Signal integrity is supported by a 100 Ω current input load and a second 100 Ω resistance on Input 2 for equal scaling of redundant channels. A regulated ±9 V rail held within ±1% supplies the on-card comparators, and only 25 mA is drawn from this rail. During peak demand, the card itself draws no more than 1.8 A from the backplane.
Four mounting holes accept M4 hardware through 4.5 mm openings. A 2.5 A slow-blow fuse guards the supply line against sustained overloads. The card length of 164 mm and width of 104 mm help preserve clearance inside compact enclosures. Its low mass of 0.1 kg minimizes stress on edge connectors during vibration.
