Product Description:
The VT-VRRA 1-527-20/V0/K40-AGC is a plug-in proportional amplifier produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT-VSPA Proportional Amplifiers series. It mounts on a DIN 41612-F32 backplane and conditions command and feedback signals so that a hydraulic valve’s solenoid receives controlled current. Within an automation rack, the module converts voltage references from a motion controller into a regulated output, allowing closed-loop positioning or pressure regulation in industrial fluid-power systems. The plug-in format allows the amplifier to connect directly to the rack wiring without separate point-to-point connections for every signal path.
The voltage interface accepts commands through an input stage with an impedance of 100 kΩ, minimizing the load on upstream analog sources. A differential range of ±10 V serves as the full control span, providing a standardized range for scaling motion profiles. Power is delivered to the connected solenoid with a peak current of 2.7 A, making the magnetic force proportional to the command voltage over the calibrated portion of the stroke. Thermal limits inside the card restrict continuous coil power to 40 VA, protecting valve windings from excessive heating during long duty cycles. Internal logic and reference generators operate from a nominal supply of 24 VDC, and the card accepts a backplane supply ranging from 21 VDC to 40 VDC.
The feedback branch supports position transducers through an actual-value path with a resistance of 20 kΩ, while an auxiliary supply of ±15 VDC powers inductive or potentiometric sensors mounted on the actuator. The amplifier draws a maximum input current of 1.7 A, which helps determine the required cabinet power supply capacity. Its mass is 0.39 kg, so the card adds little mechanical load to the rack hardware. The amplifier operates at temperatures from 0 °C to 70 °C and uses a 40% inflection setting for valve characteristic linearization. It also supports a rectified 21–28 VAC supply for bridge-supply systems and typically consumes 37 W during operation.
