The VSPA2-1-20/VO/T5 is a plug-in proportional amplifier card manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT-VSPA Proportional Amplifiers series. Designed for rack mounting, the board translates electrical command signals from a PLC or analog source into controlled valve-coil current, allowing hydraulic actuators to follow precise speed and pressure profiles in automated machinery. By combining signal conditioning with a power stage on one Eurocard, it forms the interface between low-level control circuitry and high-energy hydraulic components used in presses, material-handling lines, and test equipment. This arrangement allows the higher-level controller to send a low-power reference while the card supplies the current needed by the hydraulic valve.

Control functions are centered on a command value range of ±10 V ±2%, which sets the span for full valve displacement. The amplifier is powered from a regulated 24 VDC supply and can deliver up to 2.5 A of coil current, while a 50 mA operational output current supports stable control around the null position. The input stage presents a 100 Ω load to current-mode transducers, and ramp timing is adjusted through a 10 kΩ input so motion starts and stops smoothly. Connection to the system backplane is through a 48-pin DIN 41612 Form F header. Feedback from the valve spool is accepted on an actual-value channel of ±2.5 V ±2%, so the control loop can correct position deviations during operation.

The Eurocard footprint of 100 × 160 mm and a mass of 0.17 kg simplify handling during cabinet assembly. Overcurrent protection is implemented with a replaceable 2 A fuse, and the supply monitor keeps the circuit active between a lower threshold of 18 V and an upper ceiling of 35 V. A front plate height of 128.4 mm aligns with standard DIN rails, while the 5.08 mm soldered-side conductor pitch leaves ample clearance for rework. The card can be placed in a standard rack with adjacent control modules without requiring unusual mounting space.
