The VT-NE31-12 is a compact bipolar power supply unit manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT-NE Power Supply Units series. It converts standard plant mains into isolated, filtered DC rails for servo-valve drivers, pilot stages, and other low-power automation circuits inside hydraulic control racks and motion cabinets. Its compact format suits control panels where stable auxiliary power is needed without adding a large supply module.
It accepts an operating window of 115/230 VAC at 50/60 Hz, and the front selector is preset to 230 V for standard service. When a 115 V source is used, the selector can be changed to match the incoming supply. An internal 0.8 A slow-blow fuse protects the transformer primary against sustained overload, helping prevent damage during abnormal current draw.
Rectification and smoothing generate a positive rail of +24 VDC and a negative rail of -24 VDC under full load, and both outputs are filtered to reduce conducted noise in nearby circuitry. With a maximum load current of 0.25 A, the supply holds regulation, while no-load operation allows the rails to rise for added headroom before current is drawn. Residual ripple stays below <5%, which helps limit control-loop error in sensitive analog sections. The steel housing weighs 1.1 kg, and screw terminals accept wiring up to 4 mm² while the enclosure snaps onto a top-hat rail.
