The VT-KRRA 2-527-20/V0/2CH is a plug-in electrical amplifier card produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT-KRRA Electric Amplifiers series. Installed in a standard Eurocard rack, the unit provides an interface between a machine controller and two size-6 proportional valves. It converts low-power analog reference signals into regulated coil currents, enabling hydraulic actuators to follow position or pressure commands in presses, metal-cutting equipment, and test benches. Its dual-channel architecture allows one board to drive two independent axes while sharing common power and diagnostic lines.
The board operates from a 24 V DC supply that feeds internal converters, which provide ±15 V at 200 mA for transducer excitation. The incoming command and enable inputs each have an impedance of 100 kΩ, simplifying their connection to control outputs. A precision +10 V / 10 mA reference and a corresponding -10 V reference are available for external setpoint potentiometers. Fault status is reported by an open-collector output capable of sinking 100 mA, allowing it to operate relays or optoisolators directly. Each channel may draw up to 1.5 A through the printed circuit board conductors, and the drive stage regulates this current for the connected valve. Two 32-pole DIN 41612 connectors route power, command, and feedback signals to the backplane. The circuit is configured to operate size-6 proportional valves.
The card has a 160 mm Eurocard depth and a 233.4 mm front height, allowing it to slide into an industry-standard subrack without additional brackets. Its mass is 0.54 kg, which places little additional load on the rack structure. The power stage can deliver up to 2.9 A of coil current and support a continuous load of 37 VA per valve. This output accommodates the resistance commonly associated with size-6 proportional solenoids during extended operating cycles. The circuit trace layout and component spacing help limit electromagnetic interference within the enclosure. These features also support controlled current delivery without placing unnecessary demand on the upstream power supply.
