Product Description:
The VT 5041-23/1-0V plug-in module is an input/output card produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT-5000 IO Cards series. Designed for mounting in a 19-inch Eurocard rack, it interfaces proportional valve coils with PLC command signals inside hydraulic automation panels. By combining voltage conversion, current limitation, and signal conditioning on a single board, the card simplifies cabinet wiring and supports closed-loop solenoid control without separate interface relays. This arrangement centralizes the electrical functions required to translate low-power control signals into regulated current for hydraulic valve operation.
The supply input accepts a 24 VDC control line and operates from 21 V to 35 V, allowing the card to continue working during normal plant voltage fluctuations. Average current draw is limited to 0.6 A, while the output stage can deliver a peak current of 2.5 A to one solenoid with a cold resistance of 2 Ω at 20 °C. Command signal loading is minimized by the 100 kΩ voltage input path, while a separate 500 Ω channel accepts current-mode commands. The internal conversion electronics have a full-load rating of 35 VA and are protected by a 1.6 A time-delay fuse. These electrical limits help determine suitable conductor sizes and circuit protection for hydraulic press, clamp, and axis-control circuits that use the card as the primary valve driver.
The board follows the 100 × 160 mm Eurocard format and occupies a front-panel width of 5 TE, allowing multiple cards to fit within a compact subrack. A 32-pin DIN 41612 Form D connector carries logic signals, auxiliary power, and regulated coil outputs through the backplane. The control electronics receive an auxiliary supply of ±15 V ±3% from the host rack for analog signal processing. Board distribution current is limited to 1.25 A, helping keep circuit-trace temperatures within operating limits while adjacent modules use the same backplane supply. The assembly has a mass of 0.19 kg, which reduces cantilever loading on the card guides when the equipment is exposed to vibration. Its plug-in arrangement also allows the board to be removed or installed without disturbing individual field wires connected through the rack.
