Product Description:
The VT2000S/K-30 is a plug-in proportional amplifier card supplied by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the VT 2000 Proportional Amplifiers series. Installed in control racks, the module converts low-level command voltages into regulated current for driving proportional solenoid valves used in hydraulic motion sequences and process regulation. By matching the electrical characteristics of the valve coil with an adjustable interface, the card enables precise force or flow control while maintaining isolation between the machine controller and the power stage.
During operation, the board is powered by a nominal 24 VDC supply and internally generates a stabilized output of ±9 V for its reference circuitry, so the downstream electronics remain insensitive to line variations. The power stage can deliver up to 800 mA of load current, which is sufficient for the 19.5 Ω solenoid coils used with this model. Despite that capacity, the overall apparent power remains less than 25 VA, allowing the unit to share cabinet resources with other low-loss cards. Field wiring reaches the board through a 32-pin DIN 41612 Form D connector, permitting quick removal without disturbing the backplane wiring. Differential and single-ended inputs accept command signals with a full-scale value of +6 V or +9 V, depending on the installation jumper settings.
The amplifier occupies a Eurocard footprint of 100 × 160 mm and is protected on the supply side by a slow-blow 2.5 A T fuse that opens under sustained overload conditions. A front-panel test point reproduces coil current at a scale of 1 mV = 1 mA, providing a nonintrusive method for checking loop tuning. The permissible bus voltage can rise to 35 V before the internal limiter stages begin conducting, whereas undervoltage shutdown begins near 22 V. Additional features include a ±25 mA load-current monitor, a 100 kΩ differential input impedance, and a regulated voltage driver matched to a 1 kΩ command socket.
