The VT 2013 S15/2 proportional amplifier is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the VT 2000 Proportional Amplifiers series. It is installed as a plug-in Eurocard module and forms the interface between a machine’s electrical control system and its hydraulic proportional valve. The module translates low-power command voltages into regulated pilot currents that adjust spool position and fluid flow in automated motion or pressure loops.
The module follows the Eurocard format with external dimensions of 100 × 160 mm, so it fits standard 19-inch subracks without custom brackets. All electrical terminations are made through a 32-pole DIN 41612 D connector, simplifying backplane wiring and service access. Internally, a clock oscillator runs at 300 Hz, producing the pulse-width-modulated output that the downstream valve converts into mechanical force. Incoming setpoints first pass through a low-pass filter operating at 2.5 Hz, which dampens fast command changes that could excite hydraulic resonance. The differential input accepts a full-scale signal of 10 V, enabling direct connection to common ±10 V analog controllers. Curve 1 is preselected as the characteristic curve, establishing a fixed relationship between input voltage and valve current for predictable machine adjustment.
The card’s front panel occupies 7 TE on the component side and only 1 TE, or 5.08 mm, on the solder side, preserving airflow within densely populated racks. A front height of 3 HE, or 128.4 mm, aligns the indicators and test points with adjacent modules. The power stage is supplied by a full-wave rectified rail of 24 V, from which it can deliver a maximum controlled current of 1600 mA to the main valve coil while providing a constant pilot current of 100 mA to auxiliary stages. Calibration aids include a measurement zero offset of +9 V, a setpoint monitor that scales to 6 V, and an X2 monitor that converts output current to 1 mV/mA for oscilloscope measurements.
