Product Description:
The Bosch Rexroth Indramat VT 2000 S46/2 is a rack-mount proportional amplifier card in the VT 2000 Proportional Amplifiers series. It conditions two analog command channels and delivers controlled current to a hydraulic solenoid so that valve position tracks an external reference in automated machinery. The card fits standardized 19-inch assemblies and interfaces with the machine power bus through a rear DIN backplane. This arrangement keeps field wiring connected to the rack when the card is removed for service.
The electronics operate with a nominal input of 24 VDC and remain stable across a supply range of 22 V to 35 V. A front-mounted 2.5 A T fuse protects the downstream circuitry from excessive current. Channel 1 accepts a reference spanning 9 V, while Channel 2 accepts a 10 V reference with 100 kΩ input resistance, placing minimal load on upstream controllers. The amplifier supplies up to 800 mA of solenoid current, and a separate bias network provides 300 mA for valve offset. Internally generated ±9 V rails support signal processing, while a regulated ±25 mA output supplies sensor excitation. Solenoid windings with a resistance of 19.5 Ω at 20 °C are compatible with the output stage and its available current range.
The double-Euro card measures 100 × 160 mm, and its front panel is 128.4 mm high. Its 5.08 mm width on the solder side minimizes the amount of rack space occupied by the module. All signals pass through a rear 32-pin DIN 41612 Form D connector that aligns with a compatible 32-pin receptacle in the rack. Test jacks on the front panel provide access to the ±9 V rails for direct voltage measurements. A monitor pin reproduces the commanded solenoid current, allowing the output signal to be observed without removing the card. The output stage can drive the compatible valve coil to its peak current without saturating the power components.
