Product Description:

The VT 2000 S2X-E is a plug-in proportional amplifier card produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT 2000 Proportional Amplifiers series. Installed in a hydraulic control rack, the card converts low-level command voltages into controlled coil currents so that directional or pressure valves can follow an analog reference with repeatable accuracy. By conditioning the input signal and regulating output current, it allows machine controllers to move away from purely on/off hydraulics toward continuously variable motion and force profiles in automated equipment.

The board follows the Eurocard format with overall dimensions of 100 × 160 mm, and it plugs into a backplane through a 32-pin male connector. The normal supply is 24 VDC; at this level, the electronics draw less than 1 A and the total power demand stays below 25 VA, which helps limit panel heat generation. A command socket accepts a full-scale reference of +6 V, while a separate current-monitor socket provides 0 to 800 mV feedback for diagnostic equipment. The internal reference stage can deliver 25 mA of regulated current, and the second analog input is buffered by a 100 kΩ impedance so upstream controllers are not heavily loaded. A slow-blow 2.5 A T fuse mounted on the card protects against accidental supply surges.

The power section remains functional from 22 V up to 35 V. Within that window, the onboard converter maintains symmetrical rails of ±9 V for the analog circuitry. Drive output is optimized for proportional solenoids and can supply up to 800 mA of coil current, matching the specified 19.5 Ω load while keeping ripple low. For applications that need a fixed offset, a bias current of 300 mA is available without affecting the main control loop. Current consumption stays under 1 A even at maximum bias, so the card remains within its thermal limits during continuous duty.
