The VT 2000 S-K proportional amplifier card is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT 2000 Proportional Amplifiers series. Installed on a 3-U Eurocard, the module translates low-power command signals into regulated solenoid current so that hydraulic valves follow the desired reference in automated presses, injection machines, and test stands. By controlling current rather than voltage, the card improves valve repeatability, compensates for coil resistance changes, and isolates the PLC from the inductive load.
The card operates from a nominal 24 VDC supply, with acceptable limits between 22 V and 35 V, so control cabinets can tolerate moderate line variation. Internally, a ±9 V reference rail supports the analog circuitry while a slow-blow fuse rated at 2.5 A T protects the board from short-term faults. Solenoid drive capability reaches 800 mA; combined with the specified 19.5 Ω coil resistance, this allows proportional valves up to 15.6 W. Current consumption from the supply never exceeds 1 A, and overall power draw is limited to 25 VA, simplifying power budgeting for multi-axis racks. A bias channel can deliver up to 300 mA so the neutral spool position can be trimmed without altering the main command input, whose Input 2 impedance of 100 kΩ minimizes loading on upstream controllers.
The board follows the Eurocard footprint of 100 × 160 mm and weighs only 0.1 kg, allowing dense stacking in 19-inch racks with minimal mass load on the backplane. All power, command, and monitor signals pass through a 32-pin male connector that adheres to the DIN 41612 Form D pattern, ensuring pin-to-pin compatibility with standard Rexroth racks. The analog section provides a stabilized output of ±9 V, so external feedback transducers can be energized directly from the card without a separate supply.
