The VT 2000 S 47-2 proportional amplifier is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT 2000 Proportional Amplifiers series. Intended for control cabinets in hydraulic automation, the card conditions low-level command signals and drives proportional solenoid valves so pressure or flow follows an electrical reference. By providing regulated current output and on-board monitoring, it links PLC analog outputs to field actuators, enabling closed-loop motion or force control without discrete power stages. The plug-in Eurocard format supports standardized rack wiring in cabinet installations.

It draws a nominal operating voltage of 24 VDC, while internal regulation stabilizes the electronics to ±9 V and lets the amplifier remain functional down to the 22 V lower limit and up to the 35 V ceiling. The valve pilot stage receives a bias current that can be adjusted to a maximum of 300 mA, which helps prevent dead-band effects in spool movement. Command channel 1 accepts a full-scale reference of +9 V, and a 100 kΩ input impedance on channel 2 protects upstream sources. Channel 2 supports a +10 V span for alternate control schemes, and all circuitry is mounted on a 100 × 160 mm card that follows DIN IEC 297 dimensions for rack installation.

The power output stage can deliver up to 800 mA of controlled current to a proportional solenoid with a coil resistance of 19.5 Ω, allowing linear force across the valve stroke. A front-edge test point reproduces drive current at 1 mV/mA, so loop performance can be checked with a standard multimeter without breaking the circuit. Overcurrent faults are cleared by a replaceable 2.5 A T fuse that sits in series with the supply, and overall demand on the cabinet source remains below 1 A with less than 25 VA of power consumption. The 32-pin male DIN 41612 type D connector carries control, feedback, and power lines through a standardized interface.
