The Bosch Rexroth VT 2000 S 44 is an electronic amplifier designed for control of industrial pressure control valves. It belongs to the VT 2000 product line. The amplifier requires a card holder without a power supply module. Power supply requirement of the card is 24 Volts DC. The allowed tolerance in input DC voltage is ±10%. The ambient conditions Bosch recommends for amplifier operation include 0 to 50 degrees Celsius working temperature. Shipping weight of the VT 2000 S 44 is approximately 0.1 kilogram. The amplifier converts an input voltage to output current. The output of the amplifier powers a proportional solenoid. The force on the pilot poppet of the valve varies according to the current supplied to the solenoid. The VT 2000 S 44 features a ramp generator.
The output of this ramp generator is passed to the current regulator where it gets added to the value of the potentiometer. Through modulation of the oscillator signal, a pulse width signal is generated which is subsequently used to switch the power transistor of the output stage. This pulsed current acts as a constant current with the added benefit of being interpreted by the solenoid as a dither signal, thereby overcoming static friction. Power should be turned off before the VT 2000 S 44 is connected or disconnected. All measurements should only be made with high-impedance meters. Radio transmitters and similar devices should not be operated within 1 meter of the VT 2000 S 44. All control voltage wires should be shielded. The solenoid wires should be kept suitably separate from the power wires. Only trained personnel should handle the VT 2000 S 44 amplifier car.
