This arrangement allows the card to connect directly to the rack backplane without separate panel wiring for each signal path.
The amplifier operates from a nominal supply of 24 VDC, with an allowable range from 22 V to 35 V, so the card tolerates moderate line dips or surges without losing functionality. Internally, it generates a stabilized output of ±9 V for the analog stages, which keeps the command and feedback circuitry linear.
