One of the most recognized companies of the branch is deservedly Rexroth Bosch, which designed the VT 2000 S 20 electronic amplifier card.

This amplifier basically converts an input voltage signal proportionally into output current to power a proportional solenoid. Based on the amount of current to the solenoid, the force on the pilot poppet of the valve is varied, consequently increasing or decreasing pressure.

The VT 2000 S 20 electronic amplifier card is suitable for installation in Euro magazines or cardholders, because of its 32 pin plug-in. Actually, a specific electronic amplifier card is allocated to a specific type of proportional device (valve). Rexton has protected and optimized this part with some advanced features. The current compensation feature ensures that changes in the coil temperature or fluctuations in the supply voltage do not affect the coil current level. To provide for a trouble-free hydraulic function, an optimum level of dither signal is superimposed on the coil current.

In terms of technical specifications, this proportional amplifier requires a smoothed DC power supply of 24 V ± 10%, input control voltage  ± 9 V, and power 30 W. With the VT 2000 S 20 amplifier card, Rexton Bosch significantly improved the machine operation and solved a complex problem with an ultimately simple solution.
