The VT 2000 S is a plug-in proportional amplifier card manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT 2000 Proportional Amplifiers series. Installed in valve control racks, it conditions a command signal and drives a proportional solenoid so hydraulic flow or pressure can be varied in closed-loop industrial motion systems. By converting a low-level reference into a controlled current, the module allows a PLC or analog controller to set valve position without discrete step changes. This method supports smooth hydraulic response in machines that need controlled pressure buildup and repeatable actuator movement.

The board follows a Eurocard footprint of 100 × 160 mm and mates electrically through a 32-pin male DIN 41612 Form D connector. Its logic and power rails are referenced to a nominal 24 VDC supply, and the unit operates from 22 V to 35 V with overall power draw limited to 25 VA max. The card delivers up to 800 mA of solenoid current, which gives the output stage enough range to control common proportional valve coils. A second channel presents 100 kΩ of input impedance for feedback or cascaded command signals, while the command input provides a predictable electrical load to the upstream controller. Output stability is maintained by a precision current regulator that holds the drive signal within ±25 mA, helping the valve respond consistently when supply or load conditions shift during operation. An auxiliary reference source supplies ±9 V for external potentiometers or sensors, so the card can support simple command generation without a separate reference module. Overcurrent events are interrupted by the front-panel fuse marked 2.5 A T, which helps protect the internal circuitry and the connected 19.5 Ω coil circuit from sustained faults.
