The VT 2000 K 42 proportional amplifier is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the VT 2000 Proportional Amplifiers series. Supplied in Eurocard format, the board serves as an interface between an analog command source and a proportional hydraulic valve. By converting reference voltages into regulated solenoid current, it supports precise pressure or flow modulation in automated presses, molding equipment, or motion stages, and it fits standard 19-inch control racks used in factory automation.
Physically, the card measures 100 × 160 mm and plugs into a 32-pin male DIN 41612 Form D backplane connector, which keeps cabinet wiring on the rack side of the installation. During operation, it draws less than 1 A from the supply, and the onboard fuse is rated at 2.5 A T to guard against short circuits. The supply range begins at 22 V DC, and the circuitry stabilizes the internal rails at ±9 V while overall power demand stays below 25 VA. Two command inputs accept full-scale signals of 9 V and 10 V, while a separate 6 V monitor point provides a convenient reference for signal checks. Input 2 is buffered by a 100 kΩ impedance to minimize loading on low-power control sources.
For valve actuation, the module sets coil current up to 800 mA with a solenoid resistance of 19.5 Ω. Closed-loop electronics hold the output within ±25 mA of the setpoint, and a diagnostic jack calibrated at 1 mV/mA allows the coil current to be read directly. The circuitry also tolerates up to 35 V on the supply, helping protect components during transient overvoltage events. Command feedback is mirrored on the 6 V monitor point so control systems can compare demanded and delivered levels without additional external sensors.
