Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the VT 2000-K proportional amplifier, a plug-in board from the VT 2000 Proportional Amplifiers series. Installed in valve control racks, the unit converts low-power command voltages from a PLC into regulated solenoid current that positions hydraulic proportional valves. Closed-loop current monitoring on the card maintains a linear relationship between electrical input and mechanical output, which is important for repeatable pressure or flow control. The module supports single-solenoid axes used in presses, injection machines, and general automation cells.

The card operates from 24 VDC supply and continues functioning down to 22 V before output accuracy is affected; it also survives surges up to 35 V on the same rail. Its power stage can deliver up to 800 mA to a valve coil, and the actual-value feedback is scaled so 800 mV represents that current for straightforward loop tuning. A reference of +6 V (100%) at the command socket signifies a fully open valve position, while the socket’s 1 kΩ load keeps source equipment from being overstressed. The driver is sized for coils around 19.5 Ω at 20 °C, which helps keep winding temperature within safe limits.

The stabilized output is trimmed by an internal network that limits ripple to ±25 mA, enabling precise proportional behavior during small-signal operation. Support electronics draw from on-board rails of ±9 V, eliminating the need for external split supplies in standard rack systems. Secondary feedback inputs present 100 kΩ impedance, preventing sensor loading while still allowing accurate measurement. A front fuse rated at 2.5 A T disconnects the module under fault, and the 0.1 kg board slides into a 100 × 160 mm frame behind a 128.4 mm panel. Connection to the control backplane is through a 32-pin DIN 41612 male header, allowing installation without field rewiring.
