The VT-2000-A52 proportional amplifier card is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the VT 2000 Proportional Amplifiers series. Designed for industrial hydraulic control, the card converts low-level electrical reference signals into regulated current for a valve solenoid. This function allows a PLC or analog controller to adjust hydraulic flow or pressure in real time. Its Eurocard format allows the module to slide into a standardized rack alongside other motion and process modules, simplifying installation within an industrial control cabinet.
The card operates at a nominal supply voltage of 24 VDC, and an internal regulator maintains load-current accuracy within ±25 mA to limit solenoid current drift. Field wiring connects to the board through a 32-pin DIN 41612 Form D connector, allowing the card to be disconnected without disturbing the cabinet harness. The board measures 100 × 160 mm, allowing it to fit standard IEC rack guides. A built-in current monitor provides an output of 1 mV/mA, making it possible to verify coil current with a voltmeter. The command input reaches full scale at +6 V, supporting motion controllers that provide ±10 V reference signals while using the positive range for single-coil valves.
For circuit protection, the board carries a 2.5 A T slow-blow fuse that helps prevent damage from accidental short circuits. Internal bias generation supplies up to 300 mA of offset current, allowing the valve position to be centered before the card receives an external command. During normal operation, the drive stage can deliver a peak current of 800 mA to a solenoid coil with a resistance of 19.5 Ω. The programmable ramp generator provides a minimum rise time of 30 ms, smoothing sudden command changes and reducing hydraulic shock. The card also provides a regulated ±9 V reference for sensor circuits. Its permissible supply range extends from 22 V to 35 V, helping the amplifier remain stable when the plant supply fluctuates. The complete assembly has a mass of 0.1 kg, which places minimal load on the rack card holders.
