The VT 2000-5X-VT12487A-U117 proportional amplifier card is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT 2000 Proportional Amplifiers series. Inserted into a Eurocard rack, the module interfaces between a machine controller and a proportional directional or pressure valve, translating low-level command voltages into a precisely regulated solenoid current. By performing this function, the card enables repeatable valve positioning, smooth motion profiles, and accurate hydraulic pressure control across production machinery, presses, and test stands.

Primary power for the board is 24 VDC, and stable operation is supported as long as the supply stays between the lower limit of 22 V and the upper threshold of 35 V. Internally, the command socket accepts a maximum of 6 V with an input resistance of 1 kΩ, while a separate reference channel rated for 9 V establishes the full-scale span for Input 1. The on-board current-monitor test point is calibrated at 1 mV/mA, allowing coil current to be read with a multimeter. Valve dynamics are supported by a peak solenoid draw of 800 mA, and the amplifier limits this value to protect the 19.5 Ω load. A bias circuit can add up to 300 mA to compensate for valve deadband when required.

Input 2 provides an alternative command path with a full-scale range of 10 V and an input resistance of 100 kΩ, allowing it to be tied directly to PLC analog outputs without extra buffering. Logic and sensor circuits are powered from an internal supply of ±9 V, derived from the main bus. To shield upstream wiring from fault currents, the board carries a 2.5 A T fuse in the supply path. Field installation is simplified by the 32-pin male DIN 41612 form D connector that mates with standard backplane motherboards, and by the Eurocard outline of 100 × 160 mm that fits IEC 60297 sub-racks.
