The VT 2000-5X-K-ERSATZ is a plug-in proportional amplifier card manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and assigned to the VT 2000 Proportional Amplifiers series. Inserted in a Eurocard rack, the board supplies conditioned current to hydraulic valve solenoids according to analog command references. By performing this current modulation, the unit allows a central PLC or motion controller to actuate proportional valves with repeatable accuracy for closed-loop pressure, flow, or position control tasks in automated machinery. This arrangement lets the higher-level control system send low-level reference signals while the card handles the valve-driving output stage.

To remain within its allowed supply range, the card requires a nominal supply of 24 VDC. Safe operation is maintained down to 22 V and up to 35 V, so power supplies with moderate ripple are acceptable. Under rated conditions, the logic and output stages draw less than 1 A, translating to a total power demand below 25 VA. An onboard regulator creates a stable ±9 V rail for the signal electronics, which helps isolate the control circuitry from bus variations. Command input 2 presents a high impedance of 100 kΩ, which minimizes loading on external reference sources. Field wiring connects through a DIN 41 612 Form D edge connector, keeping installation consistent with other Eurocard modules. The board measures 100 × 160 mm, fits standard 3U card guides, and operates in ambient temperatures up to 50 °C. For long-term storage, the card withstands -25 °C to 85 °C, and the bias circuit only draws current when trimming is required.
