The VT 2000-53 is a proportional amplifier card produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT 2000 Proportional Amplifiers series. It interfaces between a motion controller and a hydraulic valve by converting analog command signals into stabilized solenoid current. This current control allows hydraulic actuators to follow electrical references with linear accuracy in industrial automation systems.
The card operates from a 24 VDC supply, and internal regulators adjust that input to ±9 V for the signal sections and ±25 mA for auxiliary outputs. The differential input presents 100 kΩ of resistance, so the upstream PLC is not heavily loaded when it delivers the ±6 V span available at the command socket. Within that span, a monitor point reproduces a 6 V signal, while the current socket tracks the loop from 0 to 800 mV for diagnostic probes. The board can source up to 800 mA of coil current, which is limited by pulse-width modulation so a solenoid with 19.5 Ω resistance receives a linear drive. Despite this capability, the module draws less than 1 A from the cabinet supply. Its dimensions of 100 × 160 mm match the standard Eurocard format and allow insertion into 19-inch subracks.
