The VT 2000 proportional amplifier card is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT 2000 Proportional Amplifiers series. It is a plug-in electronic module that translates low-level command signals into controlled current for proportional solenoid valves, allowing closed-loop pressure or flow regulation in industrial hydraulic systems. This arrangement helps hydraulic axes respond consistently to changing setpoints and load conditions in presses, forming systems, and other fluid-power equipment.

The card occupies a Eurocard format of 100 x 160 mm and a component-side width of 3 TE, while the solder side adds only 1 TE (5.08 mm), so it fits densely into 19-inch racks. Its front panel height is 128.4 mm and the interface uses a 32-Pin Male DIN 41612 Form D connector to route power, command, and feedback lines. During operation the electronics draw less than 1 A from the supply and dissipate under 25 VA, figures protected by a 2.5 A T fuse on the board. This modest demand allows the board to share low-capacity cabinet supplies without overloading them. A differential input stage with 100 kΩ resistance minimizes loading on PLC analog outputs and helps reject common-mode noise.

Powered from an operating rail of 24 VDC (+40%/-5%), the module generates a stabilized output of ±9 V (±1%) for its internal control circuits and for external feedback transducers that draw up to ±25 mA. The output driver delivers up to 800 mA (+10%/-5%) to a proportional solenoid whose cold coil resistance is 19.5 Ω at 20 °C, so valve force remains linear over the commanded range. With these limits, the amplifier can modulate current smoothly while the load characteristics keep total power below 25 VA. The assembled board, including its fuse and shielding front plate, weighs only 0.1 kg, which helps keep cabinet mass low and supports compact control assemblies.
