With a tolerance of +40% and -5%, the working voltage is 22 V to 35 V DC, and 24 V DC is the nominal point. This voltage range is not arbitrary; the internal electronics will run within safe and predictable boundaries. Beyond these limits, voltage can damage passive components and semiconductor junctions, which can reduce signal quality or irreversibly damage the circuit. The amplifier can handle both resistive and reactive loads as shown by the less than 25 VA power consumption. The amplifier can run with less thermal management overhead since the perceived power is low, which means less heat is produced. The amplifier function in controlling proportional valves depends on signal management and feedback. It can directly modify the position or flow rate of the valve by accepting a single-ended control voltage between 0 and 9 V referenced to the ground.
A differential input channel that supports 0 to 10 V and has a high input impedance of 100 kΩ to prevent signal loading is added to this control mechanism. With a storage tolerance of -25°C to +85°C and an operating temperature range of 0°C to 50°C, the environmental tolerance is increased.
