The VSP40.1ALE-512NN-C1D-BE-NN-FW operator terminal comes from the VSP IndraControl Terminals series produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. It combines an industrial PC box with an integrated display to present process data and accept operator commands on the factory floor. In a typical automation cell, the unit serves as a human-machine interface, allowing operators to view alarms, adjust setpoints, and start machine sequences without direct access to controllers or drives. Because the display and computing hardware are housed together, the terminal can be mounted as a single operating point on a machine door or control panel.

Its display module features a 15-inch TFT panel with a native resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels, allowing clear presentation of diagnostic screens and graphical controls. The screen can render up to 256,000 colors, so status indicators and trend charts remain easy to distinguish under ambient lighting. Interaction is carried out through a touchscreen, which removes the need for an external keyboard and helps preserve the sealed front surface. That front surface is rated IP65, meaning it resists dust and low-pressure water jets, and the graphite gray bezel measures 417 mm wide by 380 mm high with no front-mounted USB port.

For cabinet integration, the terminal draws power from a 24 VDC supply and should be sized for 5 A inrush current with a continuous current demand of up to 20 A. Its internal power conversion supports peripheral loads up to 300 W, which allows the use of expansion hardware without overloading the source. Six motherboard slots accept 6 PCI cards for fieldbus adapters, additional I/O, or motion interfaces, and power wiring lands on a screw-terminal connector that resists vibration.
