The VSP16.1BKE-512NN-C1C-AN-NN-FW is a keypad-operated human-machine interface terminal from Bosch Rexroth Indramat's VSP IndraControl Terminals series. In a control cabinet, it provides operators with dedicated keys and a touch-safe front panel so that machine sequences can be started, halted, or adjusted without accessing internal electronics. Within an automation cell, the unit links production equipment to supervisory controllers, translating PLC commands into visual prompts and returning operator inputs through its membrane keypad and sixteen hardware function keys.

The visualization layer is built around a 12 in TFT panel that renders at 800 × 600 px. A palette of 256,000 colors allows status graphics and alarm icons to be distinguished quickly on that display. Behind the screen, processing is handled by a 2 GHz Celeron CPU that works with 512 MB of SDRAM, which supports typical SCADA clients and local recipe storage without noticeable delay. The system draws up to 250 W when every subsystem, including its backlight and HDD interface, is active, but it omits an optical drive to conserve space and power. Its PC box carries an IP00 classification, so it must be installed inside a cabinet for dust protection, while the front membrane, bezel, and key field form an IP65 face that tolerates oil mist and sprayed coolant.

For plant networking, the terminal supplies a single 1 × RJ45, 10/100 Base-T port, and controller expansion is possible through 6 × PCI card slots when extra fieldbus or motion cards are needed. The sealed bezel measures 350 mm in width and 290 mm in height, enabling drop-in mounting on standard operator stations, and the keypad below the screen is arranged for frequently used commands such as reset or jog. Internally, the power supply accepts 115/230 VAC mains and conditions it for logic, display, and fan loads.
