Product Description:
The VSB40.3D1G-1G0NN-C2D-FN-NN-FW industrial PC is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the VSB Industrial PC Units series. Installed in a machine cabinet, it provides centralized computing for motion sequencing, data logging, and HMI graphics. The system uses an Intel Celeron 440 processor with a clock speed of at least 2 GHz, giving the controller enough processing capacity for stable machine operation. Its 8 MB of video memory supports basic onboard graphics output to a connected display.
The computer operates from a nominal supply of 24 V DC and draws a continuous 6.7 A during normal load, keeping total power consumption within 200 W. For program execution and data buffering, the motherboard carries 1024 MB of DDR2 RAM, while nonvolatile storage is provided by a 2.5-inch 32 GB solid-state drive instead of a mechanical disk. The solid-state drive improves resistance to vibration compared with rotating storage media. Eight USB ports allow connection of service devices, fieldbus adapters, or barcode scanners without adding an external hub. Two separate Gigabit Ethernet connectors support segmented network connections, and a single RS-232 serial interface supports legacy devices. The CDI control-panel interface lets the unit connect directly to compatible Bosch Rexroth touch displays.
At power-up, the system tolerates an inrush current of 100 A, so cabinet protection must account for this short startup demand. The aluminum housing has an IP20 rating for installation in dry, filtered enclosures. Shock resistance up to 15 g, together with vibration resistance of 1 g, allows mounting on machinery frames without separate isolation hardware. A backplane with 5 × PCI + 1 PCIe slots provides room for fieldbus masters or specialized image-processing boards. This layout supports multiple add-in cards in the same chassis when extra interfaces are required. Design version 3 and line 40 identify the product revision, and the unit is supplied without an optical drive.
