Product Description:
The VPP40.3DEN-4G0NN-D5D-DN-NN-FW is a human-machine interface terminal produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the VPP IndraLogic Terminals series. Designed as the operator front end for programmable logic and motion systems, it combines an industrial computer with an integrated touch screen to allow parameter entry, status viewing, and direct machine control on the plant floor. Its sealed aluminum front panel mounts directly on enclosures, giving the system a compact, PC-based gateway between field devices and supervisory networks.
At the core of the terminal is a Core i7-620M processor whose dual cores run at 2.66 GHz, allowing deterministic program execution for motion sequences and visualization tasks. The controller boots from a 320 GB HDD that provides ample storage for recipes, trend logs, and Windows-based runtime software. Volatile program data and active screen contents reside in 4 GB RAM, which supports simultaneous PLC tasks and operator dialogs without paging delays. The electronics draw power from a protected 24 V DC supply typically available in machine control cabinets, simplifying wiring to existing 24-volt buses. One conventional PCI slot and one PCIe slot are provided so specialty I/O or fieldbus cards can be added.
The 15-inch TFT panel presents process graphics at 1024 × 768 pixels and renders up to 16 million colors for clear differentiation of alarms and setpoints. Capacitive touch operation replaces separate keypads, trimming panel depth and enabling responsive interaction. Two independent Ethernet TCP/IP ports accommodate segregated control and diagnostics channels, supporting real-time data streams to higher-level networks. The anodized front survives wash-down spray thanks to an IP65 rating, while the rear electronics bay follows the IP20 rating to match sheltered cabinet mounting. Total electrical draw stays within 160 W, permitting passive thermal management and leaving additional headroom for peripheral loads on the machine bus.
