The VPP40.1DEC-512NN-M3C-BE-NN-FW operator terminal is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the VPP IndraLogic Terminals series. The unit combines an embedded PC with an integrated display and serves as a human-machine interface for PLC-controlled production cells and assembly lines. By presenting process data and accepting commands on a single front panel, the device allows centralized visualization and touch-based control while maintaining compatibility with the IndraLogic automation platform. Because the computing hardware and display are housed in one unit, the terminal reduces separate cabinet components and keeps operator access at the machine front.
Central to the terminal is a TFT panel that measures 15 in diagonally, giving the device a practical display size without sacrificing clarity. The screen renders up to 256,000 colors at a native resolution of 1024 x 768, so trend charts, status pages, and alarm graphics are displayed with sufficient detail. A hardened front bezel with a protection rating of IP65 shields the display and front USB receptacles from dust and directed water jets. The front width is 407 mm and the front height is 371 mm, allowing cabinet mounting through a single cutout. Touchscreen operation replaces membrane keys, reducing moving parts and leaving more space for on-screen controls. One Ethernet port provides network access to controllers, and four PC-Box slots accept optional fieldbus or storage cards.
Maximum power draw reaches 200 W, so the terminal can be integrated into cabinet power planning without requiring an oversized supply. The integrated processor uses 512 MB of working memory for application code and 8 MB of dedicated video memory to refresh graphics, which helps separate display tasks from general processing. Two USB 2.0 ports at the front allow removable media, a keyboard, or a mouse to be connected while preserving the sealed front face. The LED backlight is rated for 30,000 h, supporting multiyear operation in continuous service before brightness gradually declines.
