The PC box unit connects with the operator panel through a connecting cable that is at least 30 meters long; this means that the box unit can be applied in industrial applications where the PC and the control unit have to be separated. The box unit requires an uninterruptible power supply for efficient operation; thus, it is connected to a Complementary Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor battery (CMOS), which has a service life of at least five years. The box unit's housing is designed according to the IP20 protection category; it protects the internal components of the box unit from harmful solid materials grater than 12 Millimeters; however, it offers no protection against water or any other liquid intrusion.
