The VPB40.3D1L-4G0NN-D5D-DN-NN-FW unit is a panel-mount industrial PC produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VPB IndraControl PC Units series. It can be installed directly behind an IndraControl VDP operator panel to execute motion, logic, and HMI tasks inside an automation cell. By combining processor, memory, and field interfaces in one enclosure, the device replaces separate PLC and visualization hardware while maintaining the deterministic performance required by factory machinery.

The controller is driven by an Intel Core i7-620M dual-core processor that runs at 2.66 GHz; this clock rate supports the instruction throughput needed for real-time control loops and Windows-based supervisory software. Main system memory is provisioned at 4 GB, allowing multiple engineering tasks and fieldbus drivers to run concurrently without paging delays. The electronics operate from a single 24 V DC supply, so the PC can be powered from common control-cabinet power rails. The unit has a rated power draw of 160 W, which helps size cabinet ventilation. For local recipe storage and operating-system images, the unit carries a 320 GB hard disk drive, and the magnetic media allows standard disk imaging methods for backup.
