The hardware hosts the operating system and control software while external operator panels connect through its dedicated display interface, allowing decentralized visualization without exposing electronics to plant-floor contaminants. In this role, the VPB module coordinates drives, I/O, and network traffic within an integrated automation environment. A front-panel 25-pin D-Sub Female connector routes video, touchscreen data, and power to a compatible panel so that installation requires only one shielded cable.
