Product Description:
The VPB40.1G5A-1G0NN-M1C-BN-NN-FW is a compact PC-based controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VPB IndraControl PC Units series. Installed inside a switchgear cabinet, it is intended for integration with other automation hardware rather than direct exposure on the machine exterior. The unit provides the computing platform that executes motion control, HMI, and fieldbus communication tasks for automated machinery.
Internal consumption peaks at 200 W, so cabinet power budgets must allow that load during full operation. Three PCI slots and one combined PCI/ISA slot, shown as 3 × PCI, 1 × PCI/ISA, accommodate motion cards or additional field interfaces. Network traffic is handled through an RJ45 (10/100BASE-T) port, and the connector is duplicated for service access. The metal housing has an IP20 rating, matching the PC box protection class, and the unit weighs 6.1 kg without the optional CD-ROM drive. A vibration-resistant suspension secures the hard disk, and one external battery connection maintains real-time data when mains power is removed. Three RS-232 ports, one RS-422 port, and two PS/2 connectors for a keyboard and mouse support legacy peripherals. USB functionality is available through two Type A receptacles.
Graphic output is delivered through a 15-pin HD-Sub connector backed by 8 MB of video memory, allowing standard-resolution operator panels to run without frame drops. Printer or I/O modules can be attached to the parallel interface, which uses the same D-Sub 25-pin format as the dedicated display connector. Each USB socket can source up to 500 mA, supporting low-power scanners, touchscreens, or flash drives. The display channel is routed separately to maintain signal integrity and reduce interference from the unit's other active connections.
