The VCH08.1EAB-064ET-A1D-064-CS-E4-PW is an operator terminal manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and assigned to the VCH IndraControl Terminals series. This panel is intended for front-mounting on machinery where it serves as a human–machine interface, combining visualization, key input, and built-in safety controls so technicians can start, monitor, or halt automated sequences directly at the line. By integrating a sealed keyboard, backlit STN liquid-crystal display, and safety actuators in one enclosure, it simplifies wiring and shortens reaction time between operator commands and the controller.

Its computing core is a Intel PXA270 embedded processor that runs the terminal’s firmware and handles screen refresh, key scanning, and communication tasks. The processor is supported by 64 MB of SDRAM for runtime data and by a non-volatile CompactFlash card of 64 MB for recipe storage and firmware updates. A backlit STN LC panel measuring 3.8 in diagonally presents operator pages at a resolution of 320 × 240 px, allowing clear text and simple graphics. All electronics are powered from a single 24 VDC control supply. A USB Client port is available for service uploads and log retrieval.

The front foil keyboard contains 40 Foil Keys for numeric entry, function selection, and navigation, while a three-stage, dual-circuit enabling switch and a separate two-circuit stop button supply the safety channels required in manual teach modes. Network integration is handled through a 10/100 Base-T Ethernet interface for deterministic links to the PLC as well as remote diagnostics. Despite its capability, the unit draws only 4.8 W at nominal load, minimizing cabinet heat. The front housing carries a IP65 rating, so dust ingress and low-pressure water jets do not affect the display or keys during wash-down.
