The VAM41.1-PB-NA-AA-TA-VB-BA-1608-NN machine operator terminal is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth which also makes many other terminals of this type. The device is used with visualization and operator terminals for manual operation of the machine. The product encompasses rotary switches, keys with LED displays, machine pushbuttons, key switches and E-STOP pushbuttons. The unit is configured for automated production using PROFIBUS connection. It comprises a blind plate and a flexible module slot. The terminal must be operated only under the ambient conditions specified by the manufacturer. The device is available with a one-year warranty period.

The machine operator terminal is for installation in industrial machinery. It should not be used in construction cranes, refinery plants, medical and nuclear applications, etc. The device has an IP 54 Type 1 degree of protection according to NEMA standards for the front panel. The unit has a size of 407mm x 210mm x 102mm (W x H x D) and weighs close to 1,380g. The product is equipped with a 3A SMD fuse. The terminal should not be operated continuously outside the 19.2V to 30V range because this can cause damage to the filter choke present in the input area.

The device must be kept at a distance from sources of interference. There should be a clearance of at least 50mm for cable routing and cooling behind the product. The machine control terminal has a non-condensing relative humidity of 10 to 95%. It has a 1 degree of pollution and a protection class of 1 in accordance with DIN EN 50178 specifications. The unit features an input/output supply voltage of 24VDC. The key switch has a minimum connection cross-section of 1 x 0.22mm² without a connector sleeve.
