TVM 2.2-50-220/300-W1 115/220V is a TVM series power supply module. It is designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. TVM power supplies are available in an IP10 rated enclosures. Since these enclosures do not provide complete dust and moisture protection, the modules must be installed inside an industrial cabinet before they can be deployed outdoors. TVM power supplies are equipped with a blower for cooling. These supplies can get very hot during operation, and the blower increases airflow to keep ambient temperature within prescribed limits. Rated output for the TVM 2.2-50-220/300-W1 115/220V module is only possible when the ambient temperature is between 5 and 45 degrees Celsius. Another requirement for rated output is altitude between 0 and 1000 meters. The final requirement for rated output is 220 Volts AC input. When the supply is connected to AC mains with a different supply voltage, operators can use an autotransformer to adapt the supply voltage to the input rating of the module. Direct connection of the TVM 2.2-50-220/300-W1 115/220V module to the AC mains is permitted as long as the AC mains is grounded. When connecting to ungrounded AC mains, operators must use an isolation transformer. Bosch supplies autotransformers and isolation transformers in wall mount and foot mount configuration. Autotransformers are available in power ratings up to 20 kVA. Isolation transformers are available in power ratings up to 10 kVA. Several additional accessories are also available, including dynamic braking resistors, bleeder modules and capacitors. Bleeder modules are used to increase the regenerated power. The power supply modules carry high voltages and current. Improper handling can cause injury and equipment damage. Therefore, only qualified personnel should handle the modules.
