The TVD1.2-08-03 is a power supply module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and assigned to the TVD Power Supply Modules series. It delivers regulated DC-link power to Indramat drive controllers and also provides auxiliary low-voltage rails for control electronics in distributed automation cabinets. With a mass of 10.5 kg, the unit is compact enough for panel mounting while still housing the energy-storage and bleeder circuitry required for coordinated multi-axis operation.

Its continuous output capability is 7.5 kW, which is the real power the module can supply to the DC bus during normal duty cycles without overheating. For short transients, it can deliver up to 22.5 kW of peak power, allowing connected drives to accelerate larger inertial loads. The internal link circuit is stabilized at 320 VDC, giving connected servo inverters a fixed operating reference. Heat dissipation at maximum electrical loading is 180 W, so enclosure airflow must be sufficient to remove that loss. Reliable operation is permitted at ambient temperatures up to 55 °C, which suits most enclosed factory cabinets. The control section draws 300 VA and provides a +15 V rail at 2.5 A, a -15 V rail at 1.5 A, and a 24 V service output at 7.5 A for supporting peripheral devices.

The module also manages regenerated energy returning from the drives during deceleration. A continuous bleeder capacity of 0.5 kW handles routine braking heat, while a short-term limit of 20 kW protects the link capacitors during abrupt stopping events. It can absorb up to 30 kWs of feedback energy before the bus voltage reaches its shutdown threshold. Installation is permitted at mounting heights up to 1000 m without a performance reduction. The enclosure is rated IP10, which indicates protection against accidental finger contact but no resistance to liquids, so the module must be installed inside a closed control cabinet.
