The TDM2.1-30-300W1-S0101 is a drive module produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the TDM Servo Drive Modules series. It converts the fixed DC voltage of an intermediate link into a controlled, variable three-phase output for servo motors used in machining centers, packaging lines, and other position-controlled axes. By housing the power electronics, control interfaces, and an internal cooling fan in one 10 kg enclosure, the unit allows closed-loop motor control to be integrated without separate amplifiers or external blowers.

The drive delivers a continuous output current of 30 A, which supports motor loads up to 9 kW of mechanical shaft power during steady operation. Internally, it is tied to a link circuit held at 300 VDC, and this DC bus must remain within the permitted voltage tolerance for reliable switching of the power transistors. Normal operation dissipates 190 W as heat, and the dedicated fan draws only 30 VA from the control cabinet’s auxiliary mains, which limits additional load on that supply. Forced ventilation moves air across the heat sink fins so the module can release its power loss without derating when the surrounding relative humidity remains within Class F limits. Separate signal rails consume 140 mA at +15 V and 60 mA at −15 V, and external ±15 V outputs are available to feed encoder or sensor electronics at 15 mA each.

The unit maintains full current until the ambient temperature reaches 55 °C. Installation altitude is limited to 1000 m so reduced air density does not impair the forced-air cooling path. An enclosure protection rating of IP 10 means objects larger than 50 mm are excluded, but additional filtering is required for dusty sites. The DC link can ride through mains fluctuations because the rectifier section accepts line changes within a range of ±15% of nominal input, reducing trips during brief voltage sag events.
