The TDM1.4-100-300-W1-000 servo drive module is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the TDM Servo Drive Modules series. It functions as the power stage between the facility’s DC bus and a connected motor, converting stored electrical energy into controlled output for precise speed and torque regulation. By generating a regulated three-phase motor supply from a shared intermediate circuit, the unit supports automated machining centers, material-handling systems, and other motion axes that require stable and repeatable drive performance.

During continuous operation, the module supplies motor armature current up to 65 A and provides a sustained output capability of 30 kW. This power is drawn from an intermediate circuit stabilized at 300 VDC, giving the inverter section a fixed reference for pulse-width modulation and predictable motor control behavior. An internal fan requires only 30 VA, so the cooling system places only a small load on the cabinet supply. For rapid acceleration or shock loading, the drive can momentarily deliver 100 A, which provides short-term current headroom during transient demand. Conversion losses are limited to 400 W, and that heat must be removed by forced airflow. The electronics meet insulation category C and are housed in an IP10 enclosure intended for installation inside a closed electrical cabinet.

Heat is removed through forced ventilation, allowing full current operation at ambient temperatures up to 55 °C when the cooling air path remains unobstructed. Protective functions remain reliable at elevations up to 1000 m above sea level, while higher altitudes require derating because thinner air reduces cooling effectiveness. The 10.5 kg chassis is intended for vertical mounting so airflow stays uniform across the heat sink. Clear cabinet airflow is important so the module can dissipate heat consistently during sustained operation.
