The TDM 7.1-030-300-W1 is a servo drive module manufactured by the firm. The device is used in different types of automation applications. The MAC servo drives can be used for highly accurate position and speed control applications when this device is used. This servo drive module can smoothly function in aggressive ambient conditions. The system has an IP 10 standard ingress protection and can be easily used in harsh ambient conditions. This model is known for its starting lockout technology that is an exceptional feature for preventing accidents on the floor that are caused by unexpected start ups of the drives that are turned off for maintenance operations. Usually, a mains contactor is used to control each drive axis and prevent it from automatically starting again. The mains contactor has to be turned off once during each duty cycle and is also unsafe to use.
The TDM 7.1-030-300-W1 can perform the function of a mains contactor efficiently. This removes the requirement of dedicated mains contactors for each drive axis and also provides cost savings. This device should not be used in areas that have temperatures in excess to 45 ᵒC. It is also not recommended to use this device in areas that have a temperature below 5 ᵒC. With a power loss of 90 W, this model has a peak current of 30 A and a nominal DC link voltage of 300 V. This model can maintain an optimum temperature during operation because of an inbuilt blower fan that assists fast heat dissipation.
