The TDM 2.1-30-300-W1 is a servo drive module from the TDM Servo Drive Modules series manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. It is designed for closed-loop motion systems and receives control commands from a CNC or PLC. The unit converts those commands into controlled three-phase power for Indramat servo motors, serving as the central power interface in many machining centers, printing lines, and material handling cells. This arrangement lets the paired motor respond to speed and position commands with regulated torque during automated movement.

The drive module can supply a continuous output of 9 kW for steady motor operation. Internal losses are limited to 190 W, so cabinet cooling must remove only that heat load. Safe operation is permitted at ambient temperatures up to 55 °C, allowing installation near heat-generating equipment without derating. Protection class IP10 provides finger-safe openings but no sealing against dust or water, so the device is intended for enclosed electrical cabinets. This enclosure style makes it suitable for protected installation rather than exposed machine mounting. Operation is permitted up to 1000 m above sea level.

Control electronics inside the module draw 140 mA from the internal +15 V rail and 60 mA from the −15 V line, while separate auxiliary supplies require 15 mA on each polarity for external circuits such as encoders. The feedback connector supports nine signal poles, and conductor size is limited to 1 mm² to match the clamp geometry and preserve shielding integrity. Adequate airflow must be maintained, so the mounting position must leave at least 80 mm of free space above and below the heat sink. Keeping that clearance helps air move through the cabinet and prevents heat from collecting around nearby components. Humidity class F and insulation category C are used for the internal winding system. The module weighs 10 kg, which should be considered in panel layout and mounting support.
