The TDM 2.1-30-300-W0-220 servo drive module is built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the TDM Servo Drive Modules series. The device converts a stabilized DC link into controlled three-phase output that drives brushless and induction motors used in automated conveyors, pick-and-place units, and machine-tool axes. Designed for cabinet installation, the module interfaces with Indramat supply units and command cards to close the velocity loop in multi-axis systems. It is intended for continuous duty in production environments where reliable current delivery and thermal stability are required.

During operation, the drive can deliver a continuous armature current of 25 A, corresponding to a continuous mechanical output of 9 kW when matched with compatible motors. This current is sourced from a DC link held at 300 VDC. Heat is removed solely by natural convection, so installation must allow vertical airflow paths and keep the housing free from obstructions. For dynamic overloads, the inverter tolerates a peak current of 30 A, and that current rating supports protective fuse selection. Internal switching and magnetic losses account for 160 W of power loss, which must be dissipated without active fans. Continuous service is permissible up to an ambient temperature of 55 °C, provided the surrounding humidity remains within acceptable limits.

With no fan, quiescent power draw stays at 30 VA, minimizing standby load on the facility supply. The module maintains full performance at installation heights up to 1000 m above sea level, and its unenclosed housing carries an industrial protection class of IP10, meaning live parts require placement inside a cabinet. Control electronics draw 60 mA from the -15 V rail and 140 mA from the +15 V rail supplied by the controller backplane. Total mass is only 10 kg, which eases handling during panel assembly while keeping seismic loads on mounting hardware low.
