The TDM 2.1-30-300-W0 is a servo drive module produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the TDM Servo Drive Modules series. It converts the rectified DC energy from a shared supply into controlled armature current for Indramat servo motors, allowing axes to accelerate, decelerate, and hold position precisely in automated assembly lines, packaging cells, and machine tools. The module is installed in a rack next to logic controllers, where it communicates status and fault data through its signal connectors while delivering power to the motor phases.

During continuous operation the drive delivers up to 25 A of current and handles a thermal load equivalent to 9 kW of mechanical output at the motor shaft. Its internal DC bus is stabilized at 300 V and can accept line variations of ±15% without losing regulation. Power dissipated as heat at the rated current is limited to 160 W, and that heat is removed by natural convection, so no forced-air fans are required. The unit carries insulation category C to withstand the working voltage, weighs 10 kg for panel mounting, and sources two auxiliary rails: +15 V at 140 mA and -15 V at 60 mA for encoder or resolver electronics. A type current rating of 30 A is the maximum continuous setting that can be chosen through the configuration resistors.

For transient moves the controller supplies a peak output of 30 A, helping the motor overcome inertial loads without oversizing the system. Reliable operation is permitted up to 55 °C ambient and to a mounting altitude of 1000 m above sea level; beyond these limits derating is required. The enclosure has an IP10 protection rating, indicating finger-safe openings while relying on the cabinet for additional environmental shielding. The module is intended for installation inside a protected cabinet rather than in an exposed machine location.
