The TDM 2.1-030-300-W1-00-S101 is a servo drive module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the TDM Servo Drive Modules series for industrial motion systems. It is installed between a regulated DC link and an Indramat servo motor, where it shapes current and velocity commands so that automated machine tools, packaging stations, and material-handling axes receive stable torque and speed control during repeated starts, stops, and speed changes. The module draws energy from a link circuit maintained at 300 VDC (±15%), and its control stage compares actual motor torque to the reference from the 0.250 V/A scaling circuit so commanded output can track the requested operating point with minimal deviation.

This module can supply a continuous armature current of 30 A, which supports up to 9 kW of drive output without exceeding its normal operating limits. Heat produced by the power devices is removed through forced ventilation, which moves cooling air through the module so internal components remain within the thermal limits of Insulation Category C during sustained operation. When loaded continuously, the semiconductor switching and control electronics dissipate 190 W, so cabinet cooling demand remains moderate. For low-torque setup or diagnostic work, the current setpoint can be trimmed to 3 A, allowing safe static tuning before full motion is enabled.

The housing has an IP10 enclosure class, so the module must be installed inside a clean electrical cabinet rather than exposed directly to plant contaminants. It can use ambient cooling air up to 55 °C, and performance remains rated at elevations up to 1000 m; above that height, reduced air density requires output derating. The analog velocity or torque command enters on the setpoint terminal as a differential range of ±10 V, while the ready relay can switch 24 V at 1 A to report controller status to higher-level control or interlock circuits.
