The TDM 1.2-W050-300-W1-115 servo drive module is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the TDM Servo Drive Modules series. It functions as the regulated power stage for synchronous and asynchronous servo motors, translating control signals into controlled current and voltage so automated machining centers, packaging lines, and handling axes can execute precise motion profiles. This drive supports accurate torque and speed control during positioning and process movements. It is intended for cabinet-mounted motion systems that rely on closed-loop motor regulation.

The drive supplies a continuous current of 45 A, allowing it to sustain up to 15 kW of shaft power when the connected motor runs at rated speed. Its DC link is held at 300 VDC, and internal regulation can raise momentary output to a peak of 50 A; the same current value is used for fuse and cable sizing. A measured power loss of 250 W must be removed by panel ventilation. The Ma output ratio is 0.050 V/A, which is used for current monitoring, and a minimum Ired current of 15 A helps the current loop remain responsive during light-load operation. For transient faults, fan fuse F5 is rated at 0.630 A at 250 V and interrupts the fan circuit before the control electronics are affected.

Cooling air is moved by an external fan that draws 115 VAC and consumes 30 VA, keeping internal heat sinks below the maximum reduced ambient temperature of 55 °C. The assembly is protected to IP10, so live parts are shielded from accidental finger contact, but the module still requires cabinet installation. Operation is permitted up to a mounting height of 1000 m without derating, and insulation category C sets the required electrical spacing for the 300 V link. This arrangement supports installation in industrial enclosures where controlled airflow and basic touch protection are provided.
