The TDM 1.2-50-300-W1/220/S102 servo drive module is built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the TDM Servo Drive Modules series. Installed in multi-axis cabinets, the unit accepts a rectified DC bus and issues controlled three-phase output to Indramat permanent-magnet motors. Its task in industrial automation is to translate motion commands from a numeric controller into torque and speed on the motor shaft while monitoring thermal and electrical limits to protect the machine.

Under steady load, the module delivers 45 A of armature current, which supports a continuous mechanical output near 15 kW when paired with compatible motors. For short acceleration bursts, it can supply a peak of 50 A, giving extra torque without exceeding thermal thresholds. The internal power electronics are fed from a link circuit held at 300 VDC, and all switching devices are insulated to category C to withstand the related voltage stress. Thermal management relies on a built-in fan; that blower operates from an AC 220 V auxiliary supply and is protected by a 0.315 A / 250 V F5 miniature fuse in a 5 × 20 mm carrier. Maintaining proper airflow helps prevent overheating of semiconductors and keeps power-stage junction temperatures within safe operating limits.

The drive can operate continuously at ambient temperatures up to 55 °C and at installation heights up to 1000 m above sea level without derating. During nominal duty, its internal dissipation is about 250 W, and that heat must be removed by the fan and cabinet ventilation to preserve component life. The housing has an IP 10 protection rating, which indicates finger-safe openings but no protection against moisture, so the module must be installed inside a closed control panel. With a mass of 10 kg, the unit is suited for vertical mounting on a grounded backplate, with enough slot spacing to keep intake and exhaust paths unobstructed.
