The TDM 1.2-050-300-W1-115/S102 is a servo drive module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the TDM Servo Drive Modules series. It converts energy from a regulated DC link into controlled three-phase output for synchronous or induction motors. Serving as the power bridge between the supply and the motor windings, the unit enables precise velocity and torque control in automated machining, material-handling, and assembly systems. Its role in the drive chain allows the control system to maintain stable motor response as load and speed conditions change.
A continuous phase capability of 45 A allows long runs at rated load without thermal trip. For brief accelerations, the current ceiling rises to a type value of 50 A, keeping motor torque responsive during short dynamic loads. The inverter’s DC link sits at 300 VDC, providing solid voltage headroom for the output stage. That voltage is high enough to support field-weakening ranges without clipping the pulse-width modulator. At suitable operating speed, this current capacity supports shaft power up to 15 kW. A minimum 15 A holding level prevents control dead band, and a 0.050 V/A scaling value calibrates the current monitor. Logic sections draw 140 mA on +15 V and 60 mA on −15 V, supporting encoders and gate drivers. Cooling air is moved by a built-in fan fed from an AC 115 V source and protected by a 0.630 A fuse.
The drive dissipates 250 W under continuous duty, and this heat is removed by the internal airflow path. That blower draws only 30 VA, keeping auxiliary supply demand low. With an IP 10 housing, the module requires cabinet mounting to protect the electronics from dust and accidental contact. The open enclosure format is intended for use inside a protected control cabinet rather than in exposed machine areas. With a mass of 10 kg, the unit remains manageable for cabinet mounting and general service handling.
