As a pulse-width-modulated amplifier, it supplies regulated DC power to Indramat MAC motors and manages torque and velocity loops in automated machinery. By drawing energy from a shared supply and processing motor feedback, the unit supports precise acceleration, controlled deceleration, and stable holding on servo axes used in packaging lines, machine tools, and material-handling systems. Because the power section and control functions are combined in one module, the drive can respond quickly to changing motion commands during repeated starts, stops, and speed changes.

In continuous duty, the drive can deliver a motor phase current of 45 A, which is the maximum RMS current it can sustain without thermal derating. These low-current control supplies place only a small demand on the low-voltage source in a multi-axis rack.
